Antana has recently finished the construction of four offices situated in the Southern Network (Red Sur) of the Madrid Metro.
These offices will be used to offer users of Madrid's Metro general information about the new Public Transport Card ('Tarjeta de Transporte Público' in Spanish, known as TTP). They will also be the place where requests are processed and cards issued.
The solution employed involved the installation of steel structure units and a rectangular floor (measuring 3.8 x 5 m, with a height of 2.6 m), with three sides being of glass while the fourth is made of plasterboard. The heating system and the voice and data networks were installed in a coordinated and integrated manner into the Metro's general networks. Antana was also responsible for the installation of vinyl flooring and the booths' furniture.
A large part of the work was carried out at night in order to avoid interrupting service and to reduce inconveniences to users as much as possible.
