The construction company Antana has implemented a complete integrated management system (ERP) in the Microsoft CLOUD. The ERP selected was Microsoft Dynamics Nav (formerly known as Navision) and, for its implementation, it has relied on the professional services of GOOM SPAIN, a company specialising in Microsoft Online solutions.
The main reasons that led Antana to seek such an advanced solution were, among others:
- Improving customer relations and service through CRM
- Improve economic management and works planning
- Optimising procurement and purchasing
- Increasing control over the results of each project and over the cash flow forecast.
Thus, Antana, in its quest for excellence, has focused its investment in information technology on increasing the productivity of its engineers and architects and improving the services it provides to its clients.
For all these reasons, it has implemented, also through GOOM SPAIN, the Microsoft Office 365 solution, which will allow all Antana employees to access from anywhere and on any device:
- E-mail address
- Shared agendas and calendars
- Latest versions Word, Excel, Powerpoint, ...
- Videoconferencing System, Online Chat, Instant Messaging
- Intranet/Extranet for digital document management
- Virtual hard disk synchronised with the PC
These IT tools are integrated into the ERP, so that any member of the team can access the information in their area at any time.
One of the main advantages of this new system in the CLOUD is that the investment is reduced as it does not require the use of servers, networks or complex applications.
According to Fernando García, Antana's systems manager: "The implementation of Navision in the CLOUD has been an important step forward as both Antana's management and site managers can access all the information from anywhere by consulting economic data, schedules, contracts or any other information loaded into the system".
On the change of tools, he says, "We used to use simple accounting systems and Excel sheets. Now, we enter the data only once in the system and it is available to the whole organisationon the spot.
On the implementation period, he says: "In just 6 weeks we have set up the system with the help of GOOM SPAIN. We have configured the system according to our needs and, in a very simple way, we have been able to enter the information and obtain customised reports".
